As Salamu Alaykum!
Let’s dive right into my story
I am a proud Muslim woman, wife, and homemaker in her mid-twenties who moved to the States when she was 18 years old in pursuit of a better life.
The Hustle and the Turbulence
I hustled—balancing full-time work and studies—believing that strength lay in being a strong independent woman and doing everything all at once, all on my own. But over time, exhaustion crept in, and my Fitrah, my innate nature, felt out of sync. I knew the constant hustle was not the life Allah created me for.
A Divine Turn
One day, I woke up with clarity. I decided to honor Allah’s standards. It was a gradual yet sudden change all at once. I took the lessons I learned and slowly but surely invested them in my relationship with Allah, my marriage, my family, and my home.
Why Sakinah Living?
Sakinah means tranquility—the calm that settles deep within. I chose Sakinah Living because I knew it would touch the hearts of Muslim women who have been running for so long. I know how it feels to be doing everything you thought would bring you peace only to find your heart perpetually restless. Sakinah living, inshAllah, will hold your hand through the journey of becoming the best Muslim woman you can be. Let’s walk this path together.
